Sara Rose Turner, 90, of Jackson passed away Friday, June 30, 2023, at Jackson Manor Nursing Home. She was born Sept. 26, 1932, in Cape Girardeau to Stephen and Maim Howard Propst. Sara Rose Turner, 90, of Jackson passed away Friday, June 30, 2023, at Jackson Manor Nursing Home.

She was born Sept. 26, 1932, in Cape Girardeau to Stephen and Maim Howard Propst.

She was a graduate of Jackson High School.

Sara and James Turner were married March 5, 1955, in Jackson. Their union was blessed with three children: Donna, and twins, James and Jane.

Sara dedicated her life to her family. She was a fabulous cook, an avid gardener and was faithful in attending her children's school activities. As grandchildren were born, she was equally dedicated to them.

Sara was an active, faithful member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Fruitland.

Loving survivors include her husband of 68 years, James of Jackson; three children, Donna (Phil) Kerig of Boerne, Texas, James (Karen) Turner of Jackson and Jane (Randy) Eggimann of Gordonville; three grandchildren, Mason Turner, Molly (Jake) Long and Blake (Macy) Eggimann; a great-granddaughter, Everleigh Eggimann; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Steve, Howard, Weldon and Hugh Propst; and her parents.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, July 7, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

Dr. Rodney Pensel will conduct the funeral service at 1 p.m. Friday, July 7, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to St. John's United Church of Christ.
