FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Robert Chad Ramsey, 39, of Fayetteville passed away Friday, April 28, 2023, in Fayetteville. He was born Nov. 5, 1983, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to Robert "Bob" Charles Ramsey and Jana Barnes Wolfe. FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Robert Chad Ramsey, 39, of Fayetteville passed away Friday, April 28, 2023, in Fayetteville.

He was born Nov. 5, 1983, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to Robert "Bob" Charles Ramsey and Jana Barnes Wolfe.

Chad graduated from high school and went on to serve in the U.S. Army, serving during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He graduated from Ozark Technical College and worked for Case New Holland as an industrial maintenance technician.

He was very strong in his Christian faith, often showing more care for others than himself. Chad loved to spend time with his sister Heather, going to the movies and out for dinner. He loved to play pool, go fishing and barbecuing. Chad had a large, extended family from his veteran post-traumatic stress disorder groups, as well as his Alcoholics Anonymous groups.

He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Marissa Louise Ramsey, who passed in July 2006.

Chad is survived by his father, Robert "Bob" Ramsey and wife, Cindy, of Fort Myers, Florida; mother, Jana Barnes Wolfe and husband, James, of Brookline, Missouri; sisters, Jennifer Henderson and husband, Steve, of Yukon, Oklahoma, and Heather Ramsey of Brookline; and paternal grandmother, Dorothy Ramsey of Cape Girardeau. He also has many adult stepbrothers and their families, cousins, aunts and uncles. Chad also has his faithful service dog, Mugslie.

A military honors funeral was held Friday, June 16, at Springfield (Missouri) Veterans Cemetery. A celebration of his life was held Saturday, June 17, at Doling Park/Northview Center in Springfield.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Springfield Workshop Foundation, 2835 W. Bennett St., Springfield, MO 65802.
