Ronald L. "Ron" Drum, 82, of Millersville passed away Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2023, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Ron was born July 25, 1941, in Millersville to Wilson K. and Viola Stearns Drum. He and Lenora "June" Stamp were married Sept. 1, 1962, at Assembly of God Church in Illmo. Ronald L. "Ron" Drum, 82, of Millersville passed away Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2023, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Ron was born July 25, 1941, in Millersville to Wilson K. and Viola Stearns Drum. He and Lenora "June" Stamp were married Sept. 1, 1962, at Assembly of God Church in Illmo. Their union was blessed with three children, Randy, Christine and Darren.

Ron worked 30 years as a lineman for Black River Electric CO-OP in Marble Hill, Missouri. In earlier years, he also raised cattle.

His family was the light of his life. His hobbies included vegetable gardening and deer hunting.

Loving survivors include his wife of 61 years, June Drum of Millersville; children, Randy (Linda) Drum of Millersville, Christine "Chris" Drum of Jackson and Darren (Jaime) Drum of Millersville; seven grandchildren, Jessica (Jon) McMillan, and children, Waylon and Audrey of Shawneetown, Tyler Seabaugh of Dickinson, North Dakota, Garrett Seabaugh, and son, Cole of Dickinson, Corey (Tori) Drum, and son, McCoy, Chelsea McDowell, Brandon Drum (fiancee, Kaitlyn Keller) and Cayden Drum, all of Millersville; brother, Paul (Anna Marie) Drum of Fruitland; and his canine best friend, Buddy, a blue heeler.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Elmer Drum; and a sister, Shirley A. Bollinger.

Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 8, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

The Rev. Chris Vaught will conduct the funeral at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 9, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at New Salem Cemetery in Daisy.

If considering a memorial, the family suggests donations to New Salem Cemetery or Connection Point Church.
