CHAFFEE, Mo. — Margorie Fern Souders Eastwood, 93 of Chaffee passed away Sunday, Oct. 8, 2023, surrounded by family. She was born Dec. 4, 1929, in Thebes, Illinois, to the late Archie and Mary Margaret Souders. On May 19, 1949, she was united in marriage to Phillip Ray Eastwood in Paragould, Arkansas. He preceded her in death May 6, 2019...

CHAFFEE, Mo. — Margorie Fern Souders Eastwood, 93 of Chaffee passed away Sunday, Oct. 8, 2023, surrounded by family.

She was born Dec. 4, 1929, in Thebes, Illinois, to the late Archie and Mary Margaret Souders. On May 19, 1949, she was united in marriage to Phillip Ray Eastwood in Paragould, Arkansas. He preceded her in death May 6, 2019.

Margie and Phillip enjoyed traveling and visited every state in their nearly 70 years of marriage, participating in ballroom dancing competitions, hosting game nights for her family and friends, reading and watching the St. Louis Cardinals. She is meeting her favorite dogs — Teensy, Vienna, Maggie, Scooby and Mickey — at the Rainbow Bridge.

Margie is survived by a daughter, Stephanie (William) Bennett Jr. of Chaffee; three grandchildren, Jarrod (Melissa) Grebing of Clarksburg, Maryland, Brittney (Shawn) Powderly of Chaffee and Veronica (Mayank) Agarwal of Chesterfield, Missouri; and five great-grandchildren, Bennett and Piper Powderly, Willem Grebing and Layla and Maya Agarwal.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Debra (Jim, who survives) Grebing of Kennett, Missouri, and four sisters.

The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the compassionate caregivers at SoutheastHEALTH for their kindness and understanding.

There will be no services.
