Gary Stanley, 76, of Cape Girardeau passed away Friday, Oct. 6, 2023, at his home, surrounded by his family. Gary was born June 8, 1947, in Oregon County, Missouri, to the late Gilbert and Verla Cox Stanley. He married Sarah J. Gary Stanley, 76, of Cape Girardeau passed away Friday, Oct. 6, 2023, at his home, surrounded by his family.

Gary was born June 8, 1947, in Oregon County, Missouri, to the late Gilbert and Verla Cox Stanley. He married Sarah J. Crews on June 9, 1967, and to that union two children were born, Takara Leah and Rachel Amara. On Nov. 7, 1987, Gary married Jane Marie Minner Frederick.

Gary served proudly in the U. S. Army. He was a certified public accountant and senior partner of Stanley, Dirnberger, Hopper and Associates in Cape Girardeau. In addition, he was the dealer principal in New Car Franchised Dealerships including Cape Toyota, Stanley-Cox Ford, Crown Cadillac Oldsmobile and Crown Nissan, during the period of 1978 to 2013.

Gary is survived by his wife, Jane; daughters, Takara and Rachel; stepson, Matthew J. Frederick; stepdaughter, Sara Frederick Burgos; stepgranddaughter; Katelyn E. Burgos; and sister, Bonita Graham.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Dorothy Fisher and Betty Cathey.

Cremation will be accorded by McCombs Funeral Home.
