Chris Welland, 74, of Cape Girardeau passed away Friday, Nov. 10, 2023, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

Chris was born Mary Christine Allgood on Jan. 10, 1949, to the late John and Rosemary Hohler Allgood. She married Randy Welland on May 28, 1995, in Cape Girardeau.

Chris was a gifted designer and an avid gardener. She worked for several years at Dr. Edwin Noffel's orthodontics practice, helping to straighten thousands of smiles. She retired from Saint Francis Medical Center, working in the environmental services department.

Known as "Tissy" to her family, Chris was a devoted and loving mother of four, grandmother of nine and great-grandmother of two. She will be missed by each of them.

Chris is survived by her husband, Randy Welland; daughter, Lori Kirn, and her daughters, Taylor and Madison Kirn; son, Greg Seesing, and his boys, Mason, Blake and Jack Henry Seesing; son, Jeff Seesing and Christopher Cervantes; daughter, Sara and Richard Sizemore, and their children, Luke, Lacey, Jake and Caitlin; stepson, Shawn Welland; two great-grandchildren, Kayden Kirn and Khyson Rice; sisters, Cathy (John) Blackwell and Janice (Brad) Wagner; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Friday, Nov. 24, at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
