Nancy LeGrand- Tollison

Nancy LeGrand-Tollison, daughter of Marvin "Pop" and Anna Marie Tucker LeGrand, was born Sept. 7, 1959, in St. Louis and departed her life Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2024, at Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau at the age of 64 years.

She attended St. Ambrose School in Chaffee and was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church.

She was an employee of Pendergrass Co. in Chaffee for many years. At the time of her passing, she was employed at Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau, where she enjoyed caring for and visiting with the veterans, who became dear to her heart.

In her free time, Nancy loved reading, growing plants and playing with her animals, who were like her other children.

On Sept. 29, 1995, she was united in marriage to James "J.D." Tollison in Cape Girardeau. He survives of the home in Chaffee.

Besides her husband, survivors include a daughter, Kelsey (Ethan) Tollison-Woods of Cape Girardeau; brother, Joseph (Peter Cook) LeGrand of Cape Corel, Florida; two sisters, Judith (Eddie) Lipe of Tamms, Illinois, and Geralyn LeGrand of Golden, Colorado; niece, Katie Coffee; and nephew, Jacob Carr. She is also survived and loved by many other family members and friends.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

Celebration of life service will be at 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, at the funeral home.
