Sandra Kay Burger McNeely, 51 of Scott City died Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Northeast Medical Center in Harrison, Arkansas. She was born June 10, 1972, in Cape Girardeau to Charlie and Carol Ann Dohogne Burger.

She was a 1990 graduate of Scott City High School.

Sandy was a family-oriented person. Family truly meant everything to her. Her two children, Cody and Megan, were her whole world. Sandy was a proud Mawmaw of her two grandbabies, who were her biggest source of joy.

She was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

She enjoyed evenings of playing cards with family and friends.

Sandy is survived by her mother, Carol Burger; a son, Cody McNeely of Scott city; a daughter Megan (Jordan) LeDure of Scott city; two grandbabies, Tristan Gabriel and Shia Lane; three brothers, Brian (Lisa) Burger of Fruitland, Mike Burger of Millersville and Kirt (Kelly) Burger of Scott City; a sister, Kim (Doug) Jansen of Chaffee; many aunts and uncles; and 17 nieces and nephews.

Sandy was preceded in death by her father, Charlie Burger, and maternal and paternal grandparents.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City, with parish prayers at 5:15 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso, with the Rev Tom Wilk as celebrant. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Augustine School, Mercy Hospice or St. Augustine Parish.
