Ola “Sally” White, 91, of Cape Girardeau passed away peacefully Thursday, March 28, 2024, surrounded by family.

Sally was born Nov. 28, 1932, in Matthews to Raymond and Pauline Mays Gore. She married Robert F. White on Sept. 21, 1949, in Tunica, Mississippi. He preceded her in death Dec. 4, 1997.

Sally graduated from Diehlstadt High School. She worked at Inland Shoe Co. as a secretary for many years. She was a member and secretary for Advance Assembly of God.

Sally was a seamstress and loved to make wedding attire while she was living in Arkansas. She retired and moved to Cape Girardeau, and here she attended Bethel Assembly of God Church. Sally was a dedicated follower of Jesus and inspired many. She loved her family and being able to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her son, George (Linda) White of Jackson; daughter, Edna (Doug) Fisher of Natchez, Mississippi; son, Timothy White of Cape Girardeau; daughter, Elizabeth Meyer of Cape Girardeau; sister, Diane Haney of Sikeston; brother, Dale Gore of Rector, Arkansas; sister, Joyce Johnston of Sikeston; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Sally was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Robert R. White Jr.; daughter, Tracy White Rhodes; and siblings, Alfred Gore, Mildred Coffer, Richard Gore, Buck Gore, Sue Talley, Robert Gore and Betty Rich.

Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Monday, April 1, at Crain Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday, April 1, at the funeral home, with Pastor Phil Roop officiating. Burial will follow at Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
