Jean Kathryn "Kathy" Keith, 76, passed away peacefully Monday, May 13, 2024, at her home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Dec. 18, 1947, to Roy and Wilma Rex Burch in Ironton. She was married to Ronnie Earl Keith on April 9, 1967, in Piedmont. She was a proud member of the Clearwater High School class of 1965.

Kathy was a devoted wife, mother, MawMaw and friend. She was a woman of extraordinary strength and faith who courageously battled all that life threw at her with unwavering determination. She was a beacon of hope, a pillar of strength and a source of inspiration to all who knew her. She touched the lives of many with her unwavering love and support. Her bold presence and her frequent laughter will be dearly missed.

She was known for her passion for quilting and sewing, her dedication to her family and her talent for cooking. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength and resilience.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Ronnie Keith, and her children, daughter, Elizabeth (Roy) Merideth and son, Seth Keith. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Noah (Sarah) Merideth and Gigi Merideth; great-grandson, Levi Joseph Merideth; and brother, Butch (Beth) Burch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; brother, Jim Burch; and grandson, Liam Keith.

Her family will continue to cherish her memory and carry her love in their hearts.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 16, at Morrison Funeral Chapel in Piedmont.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday, May 17, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Masonic Cemetery in Piedmont. Following the service and burial, a meal will be served at Faith Christian Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Piedmont/Clearwater Alumni Association in Piedmont, an organization she dearly loved being involved in, or to Southeast Missouri Pets in Cape Girardeau, from which she adopted her beloved cat, Pid.
