Derrill Fadler, 87, of Jackson passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at his home.

He was born Jan. 13, 1937, in Patton to August and Stella Madden Fadler. He was baptized and confirmed at the Presbyterian Church in Patton and was a 1955 graduate of Patton High School.

Derrill and Leola Deimund were married May 24, 1958, in Perryville. In 1960, they moved from Patton to Jackson and became active members of First Presbyterian Church, where Derrill was an elder and deacon, and served in other capacities where he could use his construction skills.

Derrill was an accomplished woodworker but did all kinds of local residential and commercial construction. He concluded his career with the Jackson School District, first working in maintenance and then as a free-lance carpenter, making custom cabinetry and shelves.

Derrill and Leola liked to camp with their family and friends. They also liked taking bus tours, and Derrill continued to enjoy mowing, landscaping and woodworking.
