Couple observes 40th event

ORAN, Mo. -- Mr. and Mrs. Dwayne Kraus of Oran celebrated their 40th anniversary with a dinner and reception Aug. 18, 2001, at Guardian Angel Parish Center.

Hosts were their daughters and sons-in-law, Amy and Steve Ressel and Audrey and Pat Seyer, all of Oran.

Kraus and Loretta Sue Castleberry were married Aug. 18, 1961, at Sikeston, Mo., by L.E. Garner. He is the son of Bessie Kraus of Oran, and the late Amos Kraus. She is the daughter of J.D. "Pete" Castleberry of Sikeston, Mo., and the late Letha G. Castleberry.

Their attendants were Joyce Castleberry of Springfield, Mo., and Wayne Patterson of Oran.

The couple has five grandchildren.
