Armella Ann Emerson, 83, of Nokomis, Ill., died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2001, at Hillsboro, Ill. She was born June 12, 1918, in New Hamburg, Mo., the daughter of Lawrence and Louise Glastetter Westrich. She married A.B. Emerson on Oct. 18, 1935. She was a member of Coalton Baptist Church at Coalton, Ill....

Armella Ann Emerson, 83, of Nokomis, Ill., died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2001, at Hillsboro, Ill.

She was born June 12, 1918, in New Hamburg, Mo., the daughter of Lawrence and Louise Glastetter Westrich. She married A.B. Emerson on Oct. 18, 1935. She was a member of Coalton Baptist Church at Coalton, Ill..

She is survived by five sons, Lawrence Emerson of Cabot, Ark., Drury Emerson of Coffeen, Ill., John Emerson of Dowagiac, Mich., A.B. Emerson of Witt, Ill., and Raymond Emerson of Nokomis; three daughters, Peggy Johnson of Nokomis, Sue Ried of Pana, Ill., and Irene Allen of Nokomis; a sister, Edith Chaney of Chaffee, Mo.; 30 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two children, a brother, a grandchild, a great-grandchild and two great-great-grandchildren.

Services were held Friday at Coalton Baptist Church in Coalton.

She was buried at Mound Cemetery in Pana.
