JACKSON, Mo. -- Phyllis Ann Vinyard, 69, of Jackson passed away Sunday, Nov. 18, 2001, at Monticello House in Jackson.

Friends may call Tuesday, Nov. 20, between 4-8 p.m. and Wednesday, Nov. 21, from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson.

Parish prayers will be said Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, Nov. 21, at 10 a.m., at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson, followed by internment in Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girar-deau. Monsignor Edward Eftink will officiate.

Mrs. Vinyard was born Jan. 31, 1932, at Jackson, daughter of C.E. and Mary Francis Weidner Koeppel. She and Robert Vinyard were married May 16, 1953, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson. Mr. Vinyard passed away May 18, 1979.

In 1966, Mr. and Mrs. Vinyard moved from Jackson to Sedalia and from Sedalia to St. Louis in 1972. After Mr. Vinyard's death in 1979, Mrs. Vinyard continued to reside in St. Louis until 1984 when she moved to St. Charles; and then back to Jackson in 1999.

Mrs. Vinyard was a dental technician for Drs. D.L. and Paul Mowry. She had also worked at the former Schaper's IGA in Jackson, and JCPenney's in Sedalia and St. Louis, retiring in 1998. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Loving survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Janet and Dennis Lakner, and Mary Vinyard, all of Jackson; one granddaughter, Katie Lakner of Jackson; and three sisters, Lavern Miller of Tulsa, Okla., Carolyn Owsley of Palmyra, Mo., and Dorothy Barnhouse of St. Charles; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Immaculate Conception School Building Fund.

McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson handled the arrangements.
