LaVaughn Medley

DELTA, Mo. -- LaVaughn Medley, 68, of Delta died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2001, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Oct. 12, 1933, at McBride, Mo., daughter of Earl and Pearl McKnight Green. She and Chalmer Perry were married Dec. 26, 1949. He died March 15, 1969. She and Charles Medley were married March 21, 1970. He died Aug. 13, 1985.

Medley retired as a nurse aide at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Mo. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Delta and Whitewater Order of Eastern Star 174.

Survivors include three sons, Mark and Mike Perry of Delta, Scott Perry of Dayton, Ohio; a daughter, Phyllis McDonald of Delta; two brothers, George Green of Advance, Mo., Earl Green of Clarksville, Ark.; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 5:30 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Jack Hargraves officiating. Burial will be in Union Park Cemetery at Chaffee.
