CASEYVILLE, Ill. -- P.J. Kent, 76, of Caseyville, Ill., died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2001, at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Ill. He was born Feb. 22, 1925, in Cape Girardeau, son of Pearl C. and Manna Windeknecht Kent. He and Marie Barks were married Jan. 27, 1947...

CASEYVILLE, Ill. -- P.J. Kent, 76, of Caseyville, Ill., died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2001, at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Ill.

He was born Feb. 22, 1925, in Cape Girardeau, son of Pearl C. and Manna Windeknecht Kent. He and Marie Barks were married Jan. 27, 1947.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Terry Kent of Little Rock, Ark., Rodney Kent of Caseyville; a brother, Jerry Kent of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Elaine Winder and Nancy Littleton of Cape Girardeau; five grandsons; and three great-grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and two sisters.

Friends may call at Herr Funeral Chapel in Caseyville from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the chapel. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Fairview Heights, Ill.
