SIKESTON, Mo. -- Lillian M. King, 79, died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Jan. 2, 1922, at Decatur, Tenn., daughter of the late Robert and Huley Harder. She and L.E. King were married Sept. 21, 1940, in Blytheville, Ark.

King was a farmer's wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Canalou, Mo., and the Henry Meldrum American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband; four sons, Billy Wayne King, Lee Roy "Pete" King, Jackie Lynn King and Robert Lee King, all of Sikeston; a brother, Eliga Harder of Borger, Texas; a sister, Evelyn Payne of Hornersville, Mo.; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, a brother and two sisters.

Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Scott Sutton will officiate, with burial in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
