Lorene Landers

DEXTER, Mo. -- Lorene D. Landers, 74, of Dexter died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2001, at her home.

She was born Aug. 23, 1927, at Hope, Ark., daughter of the late John Delbert and Lola Alexander George. She and Elvin E. Landers were married Dec. 17, 1965, at Arcata, Calif.

Landers was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church in Dexter. She was a former florist in Eureka, Calif.

Survivors include her husband; a stepdaughter, Delores Jean Reeder of McKinleyville, Calif.; three brothers, D.L. George of Olive Branch, Miss., Geraldean George of Hot Springs, Ark., and Hershel Ray George of Nesbit, Miss.; a sister, Patsy Blakely of Benton, Ark.; three stepgrandchildren; and a great-stepgrandchild.

She was preceded in death by a stepson and a sister.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. today in the Rainey Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Keith Garland will officiate, with burial in Dexter Cemetery.
