Amy Rochelle Chambers and Christopher Michael Patterson were married May 19, 2001, at North Oxford Baptist Church in Oxford, Miss. Gary Richardson performed the double ring ceremony.

Joe and Judy Chambers of Oxford are parents of the bride. The groom is the son of David and Marcia Walton of Cape Girardeau.

Matron of honor was Denise Rakestraw of New Albany, Miss. Bridesmaids were Mary Doty and Angela Chandler of Oxford, and Casey Ferden of Cape Girardeau.

Kyle Todt of Cape Girardeau served the groom as best man. Groomsmen were Brad Patterson of Cape Girardeau, brother of the groom; Sam Alexander of Houston, Texas, and Grady Thigpen of Picayune, Miss. Ushers were David Rakestraw of New Albany and Chris Price of New Orleans.

Flower girls were Aryn Chambers of Oxford, sister of the bride, and Katie Walton of Cape Girardeau, sister of the groom.

Alyson Chambers, sister of the bride, attended the guest book.

Following the ceremony, the reception was held at Muddy Water Grill in Oxford.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner May 18 at Downtown Inn in Oxford.

Mrs. Patterson is a 1998 graduate of Oak Park High School in Kansas City, Mo. She expects to graduate in May from the University of Mississippi.

The groom is a 1997 graduate of Central High School. He received a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Mississippi in May 2001. He is a research and development engineer with Parker-Hannifin in Memphis, Tenn.

The couple is residing in Oxford.
