Eula Ann Schearf, nee McBride, of Fairview Heights, Ill., died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2002. She was born on June 8, 1919 at Flat River, Mo., daughter of John William and Isabelle Walker McBride. She married Joe C. Bond on Sept. 18, 1937. Mr. Bond died May 30, 1970. She married Elmer L. Schearf on June 26, 1971. Mr. Schearf died on April 4, 1989...

Eula Ann Schearf, nee McBride, of Fairview Heights, Ill., died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2002.

She was born on June 8, 1919 at Flat River, Mo., daughter of John William and Isabelle Walker McBride.

She married Joe C. Bond on Sept. 18, 1937. Mr. Bond died May 30, 1970. She married Elmer L. Schearf on June 26, 1971. Mr. Schearf died on April 4, 1989.

Eula retired from the Florsheim Shoe Company in Cape Girardeau after working there 35 years. She moved to Fairview Heights in 1999.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Fairview Heights and a member of the Fidelis Sunday School Class.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Drs. Joe and Cathy Bond of Rolla, Mo.; a daughter and son-in-law, Jo Ann and Franklin Neal of Fairview Heights; a son-in-law, Clyde L. Hanger of Oklahoma; and eight grandchildren, Sherri Neal of Indianapolis, David Neal and his wife, Donna, of Des Moines, Iowa, Mark Bond, Matt Bond and Courtney Bond, all of Rolla, and Ann Decker, Rusty Hanger and Bobby Hanger, all of Oklahoma City; four great-grandchildren, Matt Neal and Luke Neal of Des Moines, Steve Decker and Patty Decker of Oklahoma City. Also surviving are several nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her mother, father, two sisters, two brothers and daughter.

Funeral services will be private. There will be a memorial service at First Baptist Church in Fairview Heights on Jan. 26.

Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel Inc. of Cape Girardeau is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Southern Illinois Hospice or to the First Baptist Church building fund at Fairview Heights.
