Seth McDowell led Jackson with 14 points, while Lance Bollinger and Tyler McNeely chipped in with 12 and 10, respectively.

Barry Ziegler scored a game-high 15 to pace the Hawks.

Trinity Christian 52, Eagle Ridge 42

Trinity Christian of Carbondale, Ill., saw Nathan Cherry score 27 points as it dropped Eagle Ridge to 7-7 on the season.

Andrew Mellies finished with 13 points for Eagle Ridge and Mike Probst added 10.

DeSmet 144, Vianney 102, Notre Dame 76

ST. LOUIS -- The Notre Dame swim team finished a distant third in a tri-meet against quality big-school competition.

Girls basketball

Parkway West 53, Cape Central 49

Eight-point quarters to open and end the game proved to be the Lady Tigers' undoing in a Notre Dame Shootout contest.

After digging out of a 15-8 first-quarter hole, Central (11-5) took a 41-39 lead into the fourth quarter but failed to hang on, getting outscored 14-8 down the stretch.

Sara Hyslop led the Lady Tigers with 15 points and Alex Wieser added 13.

Meghan Pfeiffer scored a game-high 20 points for Parkway West (5-8).

Poplar Bluff 44, Incarnate Word 32

The top-ranked team in Class 4A improved to 17-1 with a Notre Dame Shootout victory.

Six-foot-one senior Jera Ridens led the Lady Mules with 12 points and Nicole Rivers added 10 points.

Meghan Kohnen scored 12 points for Incarnate Word (7-8).

Jackson 48, St. Charles 41

Jenna Leet scored 22 points as Jackson held off St. Charles in the Notre Dame Shootout.

Leet was the only player to score more than six points for Jackson (8-5), which took a slim 32-31 lead into the fourth quarter. The Lady Indians outscored the Pirates 16-10 over the final eight minutes.

Cherice Mack scored a game-high 23 points for St. Charles (9-6).

Eagle Ridge 42, Trinity Christian 23

Eagle Ridge outscored Trinity Christian of Carbondale, Ill., 24-0 in the first quarter as it cruised to victory.

Rachel Carbaugh and Amber Karnes scored 12 and 10 points, respectively, for Eagle Ridge (10-3).
