ORAN, Mo. -- Mabel Amelia Stehr, 91, of Oran died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2002, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Mo. She was born March 21, 1910, at Chaffee, daughter of Levi John and Elenora Elizabeth Scheeter Bechel. She and Arnold Peter Stehr were married May 16,1935. He died Sept. 17, 1974...

ORAN, Mo. -- Mabel Amelia Stehr, 91, of Oran died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2002, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Mo.

She was born March 21, 1910, at Chaffee, daughter of Levi John and Elenora Elizabeth Scheeter Bechel. She and Arnold Peter Stehr were married May 16,1935. He died Sept. 17, 1974.

The Stehrs owned and operated Stehr Hardware from 1946-71. She was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church, St. Ann's Sodality, Oran Senior Citizens and K.C.ettes.

Survivors include a son, Larry Stehr of St. Louis; two daughters, Jean Diebold of Kansas City, Mo., Linda Patterson of Oran; two sisters, Alpha and Juanita Bechel of Chaffee; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran after 4 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7, and Knights of Columbus prayer service at 7:30.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Guardian Angel Church. The Rev. John Harth will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
