Dessie White

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Dessie White, 78, of Chaffee died Friday, March 1, 2002, at her home.

She was born in Clarksville, Ark., the daughter of Marion and Isandria Gilliam Jones. She married William "Ed" White on June 21, 1941. He survivies.

She was a homemaker and member of the General Baptist Church in Chaffee.

She also is survived by a son, Larry White of Chaffee; a daughter, Phyllis Glueck of Chaffee; a brother, Arlan Jones of Henderson, Ky.; a sister, Ressie Cantrell of Sikeston, Mo.; two grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.

Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Sunday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the chapel with the Rev. Billy Anders officiating.

Burial will be at Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
