SIKESTON, Mo. -- Graveside service for Audy Powell of Sikeston will be held at 1 p.m. today at Garden of Memories Cemetery. Jerry Hickson will officiate.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel after 11 a.m.

Powell, 85, died Thursday, March 7, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

She was born Feb. 13, 1917, at Portageville, Mo., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Preston Pitts. She and Vernon H. Powell were married Sept. 22, 1934, at Caruthersville, Mo. He died Sept. 29, 1986.

Survivors include two sons, Doyle Powell of Sikeston, Larry Powell of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Donnie Bevill of Leesburg, Fla., Joyce Lambert of Sikeston; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by two sons, a brother, and a sister.
