Luther Meredith Lee, 92, of Sikeston, Mo., died Friday, March 8, at Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born April 19, 1909, son of Luther and Tessie Fisher Lee. He and Joanna Herndon were married Sept. 3, 1955.

Lee was a longtime banker in Sikeston, where he worked at Bank of Sikeston and Tri-County Bank, for a total of 55 years.

Lee served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Meredith Gregory Lee of Murray, Ky., and Terry Michael Herndon of Sikeston; a daughter, Suzanne Lee Harris of Sikeston; a sister, Virginia Lee Delagoski of Galesburg, Ill.; four grandchildren; and a great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call at Blanchard Funeral Chapel from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Fellowship Baptist Church in Sikeston, with the Rev. Joe McCullough officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.

Full military rights will be conducted by the Missouri Military Honors Program.
