ORAN, Mo. -- Carl Gene Fisher, 68, of St. Peters, Mo., died Saturday, March 9, 2002, at St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles, Mo. He was born May 6, 1933, at Oran, son of Eugene and Pearl Fisher. Fisher retired from General Motors in St. Louis, where he was a tractor mechanic 30 years. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in St. Charles and United Auto Workers...

ORAN, Mo. -- Carl Gene Fisher, 68, of St. Peters, Mo., died Saturday, March 9, 2002, at St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles, Mo.

He was born May 6, 1933, at Oran, son of Eugene and Pearl Fisher.

Fisher retired from General Motors in St. Louis, where he was a tractor mechanic 30 years. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in St. Charles and United Auto Workers.

He served in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret; a daughter, Karla Fisher of O'Fallon, Mo.; four sons, Steve Fisher of High Ridge, Mo., Robert Fisher of Cedar Hill, Mo., David Fisher of Warrenton, Mo., Patrick Fisher of Defiance, Mo.; a sister, Maxine Wilkinson of Marble Hill, Mo.; and 15 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter.

Friends may call at Baue Funeral and Memorial Center in St. Charles from 4 to 8 p.m. today, and Wednesday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. Burial will be in St. Charles Memorial Gardens.
