DEXTER, Mo. -- Aldon Kincy, 77, died Tuesday, March 12, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born March 10, 1925, at Dexter, son of Howard and Ella Temples Kincy. He and Lenora Cato were married Nov. 7, 1946, in Piggott, Ark. To this union six sons were born.

Prior to entering the U.S. Navy in December 1943 to serve during World War II, he worked as a milling machine operator in Detroit, Mich. He returned to Missouri after his discharge and spent three years as a sales distributor for Curtis Candy Co., and 30 years for Gordon Potato Chips which later changed to Sunshine and Old Vienna.

Survivors include five sons and four daughters-in-law, David and Wilma Kincy, Steve and Rose Kincy, Jimmie and Rosemary Kincy, all of Jackson, Mo., Dennis Kincy of Hercules, Calif., Randy and Yolanda Kincy of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; four granddaughters, Kim Holly of Fenton, Mo., Michele Campbell, Tracy Poston and Amanda Kincy, all of Jackson; two stepgrandsons, Ben Kirkpatrick of Poplar Bluff, Steven Kirkpatrick of Bernie, Mo.; three sisters, Lucille Dowdy and Bernice McCarty of Dexter, Dorothy Gibson of Vallejo, Calif.; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lenora; a son, Michael; his parents; two brothers; and two sisters. He will be missed by many family and extended family.

Friends may call at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 4-7 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 7 p.m., with the Rev. Luther Rhodes officiating. A private graveside service will be held Friday at Hagy Cemetery.
