Oma Amanda Raney, 88, of Fordyce, Ark., died Tuesday, March 12, 2002, at Dallas County Nursing Home in Fordyce.

She was born Sept. 25, 1913, in Dallas County, daughter of Butler and Tonie Nutt Green. She married John Dekalb Raney, who preceded her in death.

Raney was a member of Zion Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Raney of Cape Girardeau, Jack Raney of Platte City, Mo.; a brother, Maurice Green of Leola, Ark.; a sister, Katie Hardman of Fordyce; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. today at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. The Rev. David Jimerson will officiate. Burial will be in Stoney Point Cemetery.
