ADVANCE, Mo. -- Floy N. Rhodes, 89, of Advance died Saturday, March 16, 2002, at Perry Oaks Manor in Perryville, Mo.

She was born April 14, 1912, at Bell City, Mo., son of Seth P. and Lena Palfreeman Overbey. She and the late Louis Storey were married March 31, 1928. She and the late Bill Rushing were married July 18, 1949. She and Charles Rhodes were married Jan. 1, 1980. He died March 24, 1992.

Rhodes was a machine operator at H.I.S. Clothing Factory in Tennessee. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Delta, Mo.

Survivors include a daughter, Bonnie Strong of Sedgewickville, Mo.; two grandsons; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Kenneth Strong officiating. Burial will be in Stoderville Cemetery in Whitewater, Mo.
