I read your March 17 story about the pedestrian bridge over Highway 74. I noticed you only got comments from people who live on the north side of Ellis Street. I live on the south side of Ellis. The house my family lives in is right up against the fence.

On a number of occasions, we've had people walk up our driveway to find a way through the fence. My husband has had a bike stolen out of the front yard.

I think the bridge should be moved down on the little side street in front of my house, not right in front.

When my 6 1/2-year-old child and the neighbor's kids are out playing, I keep an eye out. I think the bridge may be used for drug buys to go more quickly. I just don't want that sort of thing happening right in my front yard.

I walk around the long way if I need to go to the gas station or grocery store.
