SIKESTON, Mo. -- Shirley Jean Sadegh Withrow, 62, of Sikeston died Thursday, March 21, 2002, at her home.

She was born Sept. 14, 1939, in Sikeston, daughter of James Richard and Myra Aliene Adcock Hill. She and Ted Withrow were married July 1, 2000.

Withrow was a 1957 graduate of Sikeston High School. She worked 37 years at Southwestern Bell Telephone Co., retiring in February 2000. She owned and operated One Day Cleaners from 1986 to 2000.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Telephone Pioneers, and was president of the Cotton Club two years.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Shamsy Sadegh of Sikeston, Sherril Earley of Essex, Mo.; two sisters, Leta Swinney of Benton, Mo., Margo Mueller of Livermore, Calif.; three stepdaughters, Terri Dobson and Amy Henries of Louisville, Ky., Beverly Spoede of Warrenton, Mo.; a stepson, Gordon Withrow of Dublin, Ohio; two grandchildren; and seven stepgrandchildren.

Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. Bill Koch will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Sandy Schaller. Burial will be in Sikeston City Cemetery.
