PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Leola W. Smith, 88, of Perryville died Tuesday, April 9, 2002, at Perry County Nursing Home. She was born Dec. 19, 1913, at Perryville, daughter of Edward and Louise Guth Deimund. She and Robert L. Smith were married July 21, 1933. He died Sept. 9, 1981...

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Leola W. Smith, 88, of Perryville died Tuesday, April 9, 2002, at Perry County Nursing Home.

She was born Dec. 19, 1913, at Perryville, daughter of Edward and Louise Guth Deimund. She and Robert L. Smith were married July 21, 1933. He died Sept. 9, 1981.

Smith was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid.

Survivors include three sons, Gene Smith of Glendale, Mo., Paul Smith of Florissant, Mo., Larry Smith of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four sisters and a brother.

Friends may call at Immanuel Church after 9 a.m. Thursday.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church, with the Rev. Craig Otto officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
