Brick Network, a St. Louis-based provider of Internet services, has begun offering high-speed Internet services to consumers and businesses in Dexter.
Dan O'Sullivan, president of Brick Network, said Dexter provides a viable market for the company as Brick continues its expansion in Southeast Missouri.
"Brick already has a strong presence in Cape Girardeau, and the nearby Dexter market provides a very good fit for our high-speed services," O' Sullivan said.
"We look forward to playing an active role in the Dexter business community."
O'Sullivan said Brick is continuing to expand its services as other high-tech companies are curtailing expenditures.
"While other Internet companies are leveling out we are seeing continued growth. We continue to add employees and penetrate new markets."
Brick Network, ranked by the St. Louis Business Journal as the third largest provider of Internet services among area firms, serves over 18,000 dial-up accounts and over 1,000 dedicated business customers.
Brick provides high-speed Internet access over DSL, ISDN, Frame Relay, T-1 and DS-3 to businesses throughout St. Louis, other outlaying Missouri areas such as Park Hills, Fredericktown, Ste. Genevieve, Cape Girardeau and Western Illinois.
