JACKSON, Mo. -- William Fred "Bill" Kuehn, 65, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. Richard Northcutt will officiate. Interment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery...

JACKSON, Mo. -- William Fred "Bill" Kuehn, 65, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. Richard Northcutt will officiate. Interment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.

Bill was born April 30, 1936, in Cape Girardeau County, son of John and Jeanette Goza Kuehn. He and Mary Ann Conley were married Sept. 29, 1956.

Loving survivors include his wife; three sons and daughters-in-law, Leroy and Amber Kuehn, Terry and Cindy Kuehn, and Randy and Christina Kuehn, all of Jackson; three daughters and sons-in-law, Jo Ann and Don Sester of Cape Girardeau, Susan and Dan Sterling of Millersville, Mo., Sally and Dave Carter of Kirksville, Mo.; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Tom and Jeryl Kuehn of Jackson, Jim and Martha Kuehn and Jack and Wanda Kuehn of Cape Girardeau; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Helen Felty of Cape Girardeau, Geraldine and Howard Brennecke of Millersville, Kate and Ken Gibbar of Jackson.

Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, Zachary Kuehn and Beth Haertling; Curt and Sherry Kuehn; Kimberly and Kari Kuehn; Tim and Julie Hite; Christopher, Scott and Amy Sterling; Kevin and Jenifer Carter; a great-grandson, Devin Mungle; and a great-granddaughter, Cameron Hite.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Joe Kuehn and Gustave "G.B" Kuehn; and three sisters, Clara Kuehn, Rose Welker and Frances Milz.

Bill was a member of New McKendree United Methodist Church in Jackson. He had worked at the former Superior Electric in Cape Girardeau and at Kasten Masonry in Jackson. In 1994, after 26 years of service, he retired from Procter & Gamble, but continued to work his farm in east Jackson.

Bill bowled in the Men's League at Jackson, and regularly participated in the Friday night shooting matches at Leopold KC Hall. He was an avid sportsman and particularly enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to New McKendree United Methodist Church.
