ANNA, Ill. -- Funeral for Martha Coomes of Anna will be held at 11 a.m. today at the United Missionary Baptist Church in Lick Creek, Ill. The Rev. Ken Wilson will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Memorial Park.

Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Anna from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Coomes, 57, died Wednesday, April 10, 2002, at her home.

She was born June 5, 1944, in Cairo, Ill., daughter of Robert Sheridan and Ruby Pearlean Porchie Thompson.

Coomes was a member of United Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Arra Rosenthal of Cape Girardeau, Sheila Hudson of Grand Tower, Ill.; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
