Action Items

Power and Light Committee Canceled the regular council meeting of Monday, May 20, and schedule a regular meeting for Thursday, May 2, at 7:30 p.m.

Rescheduled a special meeting for Thursday, April 25, at noon to consider a bill proposing an ordinance authorizing the issuance of Combined Waterworks and Sewerage System Revenue Bonds (State Revolving Fund Program) Series 2002, of the city of Jackson.

Accepted certified election results.

Authorized the city's participation in the Missouri Department of Conservation Wildlife Conservation and Restoration Program.

Authorized a mutual aid agreement with member cities of the SEMO-NEARK Municipal Utilities Association.

Accepted the dedication of water line easement deed from Jerrell and Patricia Busey.

Accepted the dedication of a sanitary sewer easement deed form Danny and Susan Rees.

Accepted the bid of ABC Services of Cape Girardeau for the 2002 Custodial Services Proposal.

Authorized a contractual agreement with ABC Services relative to cleaning services provided under the 2002 Custodial Services Proposal.

Street Committee

Endorsed the Route AB Extension Project in Cape Girardeau County.

Authorized the closure of the 400 block of South High Street on Monday, May 27, between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. for the American Legion Memorial Day Service.

Accepted the base bid and associated two-year alternates of The Lawn Guys Inc. of Jackson for the 2002 Summer Mowing Projects.

Authorized a contractual agreement with The Lawn Guys relative to services provided under the 2002 Summer Mowing Projects.
