CAIRO, Ill. -- Jeanette F. Solomon, 92, of Cairo died Monday, April 29, 2002, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born July 10, 1909, in Paris, Ill., daughter of Morris and Mary Curtis Silverman. She married Julius Solomon, who died Jan. 16, 1966.

Solomon had been a tax collector in Alexander County. She was a member of Montefiore Temple in Cairo and served as treasurer, and was a member of B'Nai Brith Organization and Cairo Business and Professional Women's Club.

Survivors include two daughters, Janie Solomon of Cairo, Carole Sarasohn of Birmingham, Ala.; a son, Morris Solomon of Montgomery Village, Md.; and four grandchildren.

There is no visitation.

Graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. today at B'Nai Amoona Cemetery in St. Louis, with Rabbi Alvan Rubin officiating.

Barkett Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
