Department of Public Safety director Drew Juden said Tuesday that an investigation led to three vehicles being towed.

A search of two homes and three vacant houses uncovered a stash of crack cocaine, Juden said. An SKS assault rifle was found in some bushes close to 808 Ruth St.

Cooper and Williams are in Sikeston City Jail on $250,000 bond each.

Police said four other people have been arrested, but their names are being withheld pending formal charges.

The investigation continues, Juden said.
