Because of the volunteering spirit, Classroom Scouting Adventure Day for special-needs students, held May 16, was a huge success.

I want to take this opportunity to say thank you to the many volunteers and the Cape County Park-South employees for making possible the many scouting activities for the 150 Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts and their teachers from Southern Illinois and Southeast Missouri classrooms.

In particular, I'd like to thank the 2002 planning committee and the many community entities who participated and contributed. To all of them I give my wholehearted thanks.
