Dorothy Sutterer

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Dorothy R. Leible Sutterer, 78, of Perryville, died Wednesday, May 22, 2002, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

Born April 13, 1924, in Perryville, she was the daughter of Frank and Cary Tucker Cissell.

Sutterer was a retired secretary for the International Shoe Co.

On July 6, 1945, she was married to Cletus Leible. He died June 27, 1985. On Jan. 2, 1993, she married Wallace Sutterer.

She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

Survivors include her second husband, of Perryville; two daughters, Diann Lane of Appleton, Wis., Jannet Clifton of Perryville; a son, David Leible, of Perryville; four stepdaughters, Kathleen Fail, Linda Allen and Mary Roper, all of St. Peters, Mo., and Margie Markway of Perryville; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and first husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers and seven sisters.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Young & Sons funeral chapel.

A Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. Kevin Fausz as celebrant.

The wake will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, and a rosary will be said at 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Mount Hope Cemetery.
