Donna Doris Walz and Todd Allen Ward were married in a private ceremony March 16, 2002, at Faith Lutheran Church in Jefferson City, Mo. The Rev. Tony Alter performed the double ring ceremony. Heartstrings of Columbia, Mo., provided instrumental music.

Parents of the couple are Don and Norma Walz of Jefferson City, and Bill and Joy Ward of Advance, Mo.

The bride was presented in marriage by her parents.

Matron of honor was Denise Willroth of Jefferson City, sister of the bride.

Ron Keathly of Dexter, Mo., served the groom as best man. Usher was Steve Walz, brother of the bride.

Following the ceremony, the bride and groom hosted a dinner and dance reception at Les Bourgeois Winery and Vineyard in Rocheport, Mo. Assisting with the reception were Anna and Amy Thrash of Jefferson City, niece and sister-in-law of the bride, respectively, and Susan McWilliams and Jill Gamlin of Columbia.

Mrs. Ward is a graduate of Jefferson City High School. She received a bachelor of arts degree in business administration from William Woods University at Fulton, Mo., and a master of business administration from Lincoln University in Jefferson City.

The groom is a graduate of Advance High School. He received a bachelor of science degree in marketing from Southeast Missouri State University, and a master of business administration from Baylor University in Waco, Texas. He is branch manager with Consolidated Insurance Agency in Cape Girardeau.

After a cruise to the Caribbean, the couple resides in Cape Girardeau.
