William Bohannon Jr.

SIKESTON, Mo. -- William L. Bohannon Jr., 78, of Sikeston died Friday, Aug. 30, 2002, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

He was born Sept. 19, 1923, north of Sikeston, son of William Lee and Iva Mae Gray Bohannon. He and Willa "Billie" Menz were married Nov. 16, 1946, at Sikeston.

Survivors include his wife; one son, John Bohannon of Sikeston; one daughter, Terry Hutchison of Scott City, Mo.; six brothers, Clayton Bohannon of Sikeston, Roy Gene Bohannon of Decatur, Ill., J. L. Bohannon of St. Louis, Don Bohannon of Kenner, La., the Rev. Dr. Glen Bohannon of Wilmington, N.C., and Larry Bohannon of Lebanon, Ohio; two sisters, Mabel Merrick of Sikeston and Dorothy Moore of Hartford, Ill.; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, two brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Glen Bohannon officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
