SCOTT CITY, Mo. -- Shannon Hood and Keith Thomas Urhahn were married Sept. 22, 2001, at La Croix United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau. The Rev. Ron Watts performed the double ring ceremony. Music was by Chris Nall and Geoff Smith of Cape Girardeau and Jill Prince of Jackson.

The bride is the daughter of Kaye Hood of Scott City. Tom and Clara Urhahn of Oran, Mo., are parents of the groom.

Maid of honor was Regan Williams of Cape Girardeau. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Ruth of Jackson, Miss., Heather Grojean of Little Rock, Ark., Heather Angelbeck, Mandi Hueckle and Becky Holter, all of Cape Girardeau.

The groom chose his father as best man. Groomsmen were Ben Urhahn of Oran, brother of the groom; Travis Brashear of Cape Girardeau, Eric Priggel of Oran, Darin Pettit of Kennett, Mo., and Shannon McHughs of Thebes, Ill. Ushers were Jason Harris of Oran, Nathan Sherfield of Dexter, Mo., Kenny Steimle and Travis Bickings of Oran.

Candlelighters were Jason Todt of Cape Girardeau and Tim Urhahn of Jackson, cousin of the groom.

Nicki Urhahn, sister-in-law of the groom, attended the guest book.

Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Oran.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Sept. 21 at the KC Hall.

Mrs. Urhahn is a 1993 graduate of Delta Academy in Marks, Miss. She attended Delta State University in Cleveland, Miss., and Southeast Missouri State University. She is employed by Southwestern Bell.

The groom is a 1994 graduate of Oran High School, and received a degree in therapeutic recreation from Southeast University. He is employed by Missouri Department of Mental Health in Farmington.

The couple resides in Perryville, Mo.
