Two students attend Naval summer program

Alisa Uzoaru, daughter of Nancy Uzoaru and Benjamin Uzoaru, both of Cape Girardeau, and Caitlin Hoeh, daughter of Sharon and Thomas Hoeh of Perryville, Mo., recently participated in the United States Naval Academy's week-long seminar program in Annapolis, Md.

During the program, Uzoaru and Hoeh were introduced to academy life through a regimen of academics, physical training, intramural sports, sailing and seamanship, as well as leadership training and social activities.

The summer seminar program was designed by the U.S. Naval Academy's office of admissions to give students a taste of the challenges and benefits of a Naval Academy education.

Uzoaru is currently a student at Central High School. Hoeh currently attends St. Vincent High School.
