Notre Dame squeezed out a 1-0 win over Poplar Bluff two weeks ago. Tuesday, the Bulldogs routed the Mules 11-1. The game was stopped in the bottom of the sixth inning by the 10-run rule.

The Bulldogs, who improved to 7-1, banged out 14 total hits.

Whitney Ostendorf went 3-for-4, including a two-run double and a triple in the first inning. She later scored on a Stacy Schwartz double.

Sara Berkbigler went 2-for-4 with a two-run triple in the fifth. Ashley Reinagel was 2-for-4 with a triple and scored three runs. Schwartz and Elena Weismueller each had two hits.

Lindsay Reinagel was the winning pitcher as she hurled a five-hitter.

Central 12, Sikeston 2

SIKESTON, Mo. -- The Tigers (6-4) continued their offensive surge with a win over Sikeston.

Laura Beard, who was the winning pitcher, helped her own cause by going 3-for-5 with two runs scored. Megan Kistner was 2-for-5 with a double. Beard pitched six innings and got her second win in as many starts.

St. Pius 11, Perryville 7

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- St. Pius scored four runs in the top of the 10th inning to win a wild game and keep Perryville winless.

The Lady Pirates (0-5) had 11 hits. Jenna Schuessler went 4-for-5 with a triple and two RBIs. Sara Lappe and Kelly Kassel both had two hits.

Amanda Roth pitched 9 1/3 innings and suffered the loss.

VOLLEYBALL

Notre Dame 15-15 Bernie 6-10

Notre Dame eased past Bernie to improve its record to 5-1.

Emily Buehrle led a balanced Lady Bulldog offensive attack with four kills. Amanda Dirnberger had 10 service points while Valaree Rutherford added eight.

Leopold 15-15 Meadow Heights 0-7

PATTON, Mo. -- Leopold (4-0) still has yet to taste defeat after beating Meadow Heights.

Holly Jansen had 10 kills and four blocks. Courtney Westbecher had seven kills and three blocks. Wendy Vandeven contributed 20 assists to go along with five blocks.

Bell City 15-15 Zalma 1-7

BELL CITY, Mo. -- Bell City (3-1) posted an easy win over Zalma.

Katie Niemczyk had six kills and four digs; Whitney Abner had eight assists and 10 service points; Sarah Metcalf recorded 11 service points; and Erin Dissler added four blocks.

St. Vincent 15-15 Oak Ridge 4-6

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- St. Vincent (4-5-1) climbed closer to the .500 mark with an easy win.

Danielle Schremp led the way with 12 points. Mary-Beth Reiss also had a good night serving with eight points. Dani Emendorfer recorded 31 assists.

Puxico 15-15 Woodland 11-5

MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Puxico kept Woodland (0-4) winless.

Kayla Hahn served eight points for Woodland. Stacie Greer added three digs and four assists.

BOYS SOCCER

Poplar Bluff 1, Jackson 0

JACKSON, Mo. -- Jackson goalkeeper Austin McDowell made 11 saves but Poplar Bluff solved him for one goal to defeat the Indians (1-4).

GIRLS' TENNIS

Central 7, Charleston 2

CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Allison Campbell, Brett Ford and Liz LaFoe all won in both singles and doubles as Central (3-0) remained undefeated.

Sikeston 5, Jackson 4

JACKSON, Mo. -- Kari Minch and Kim Anderson both won singles matches, then teamed up for Jackson's lone doubles victory, but it was not enough to lift the Indians.
