Public Hearings Held hearing to consider proposed amendments to the Zoning Code and Land Subdivision Regulations of Jackson relative to the addition of a reduced side and/or rear setback requirement for attached single-family dwellings.

Approved the mayor's additional appointments to the Highway 34/72 (West Jackson Boulevard) Improvements Committee.

Approved an ordinance authorizing a contractual agreement with the Federal Energy Management Agency relative to the creation and maintenance of up-to-date flood hazard data for the city of Jackson.

Set a public hearing for 7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7, to consider the rezoning of approximately 15.5 acres of property located between Woodland East and East Main Street from R-2 (single family residential) District to R-3 (general residential) District and C-2 (general commercial) District as submitted by Mr. and Mrs. John V. Priest, Joe D. Bullinger, Edna Hawthorne, Mary Ann Hartje and Pat Tollison.

Approved a motion authorizing the city engineer to prepare an estimate for paving a section of Old Orchard Road.
