Marjorie R. Haman, 74, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Sept. 30, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born Nov. 21, 1927, in Kansas City, Mo., daughter of James and Ruth Grissom Harris. She and Morris A. Haman were married March 20, 1948, in Cape Girardeau.

Haman was a claims adjuster secretary with State Farm Insurance. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and its United Methodist Women, Church Women United, Rodney Vista Homemakers Club, and AARP. She was a Girl Scout leader 11 years.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Marsha Hodges of Nashville, Tenn.; a brother, Charles Harris of Holyrood, Kan.; three sisters, Dorothy Helferstay of Council, Kan., Janet Beck of Kansas City, Barbara Cooper of Osage, Iowa; and a grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. today.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Anselm Williams officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
