The Southeast Missourian and sejobsonline.com are gearing up for their first Career Fair, an opportunity to match those seeking jobs with employers who have them.

The event will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Show Me Center on the Southeast Missouri State University campus, and parking and admission are free.

In addition to meeting representatives from private companies, not-for-profit groups and the military, participants can practice their interviewing skills and bring their resumes for advice from experts.

A special Career Fair section will be included in the newspaper Sunday and will be available at the fair as well. It includes articles on subjects such as how to interview effectively, factors to consider in evaluating a job offer, tips on researching employers, the benefits of career fairs, interview tips and how to dress for success.
