Salvation Army serving Meals with Friends

The Salvation Army at 701 Good Hope will be serving Meals with Friends this Monday through Friday. Serving time is 4:30 to 6 p.m. Any individual is welcome to come and enjoy a hot, nutritious meal in a warm, friendly atmosphere at no cost. The following menu will be served:

Monday -- French fries, hash browns, sausage, applesauce, cake or pie.

Tuesday -- beef and noodles, buttered corn, fruit salad, bread and butter, cake or pie.

Wednesday -- shepherd's pie, salad, roll and butter, cake or pie.

Thursday -- Polish sausage or hot dog, French fries, sauerkraut, green beans, cake or pie.

Friday -- sloppy joe, potato chips, coleslaw, peaches, cake or pie.

Alma Schrader holding a chili dinner/auction

Alma Schrader Elementary school will be hosting a chili dinner/basket auction from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Alma Schrader school, 1360 Randol. The cost is $4 per person. The meal includes chili/hot dog, peanut butter sandwich, carrot sticks, drink and dessert. For more information, call 335-5310.
