To the editor:

What plan do the Democrats have to fix the economy, protect Social Security and provide us with homeland security? Democrats in the Senate have prevented President Bush from passing legislation that would help restore our country's economy and provide us with an adequate defense against terrorism.

All I hear from Democrats is how horrible the Republican plan is. In addition, they accuse the Republicans of wanting to give Social Security to Wall Street. Not only is that a false accusation of Republicans, the Democrats do not offer an alternative plan. Their entire November campaign consists of scaring senior citizens and blaming the economy on the Republicans even though the economy started spiraling down during Bill Clinton's last year in office. In addition, they have blocked measures proposed by President Bush that would help our economy.

Just recently, the Democrats in the Senate defeated the homeland-security bill that is sorely needed to help protect our country from terrorist attack. The Democrats simply hate Republicans more than they care about protecting our country.
